Full Refurbishment & Extension

This project involved the complete transformation of a tired, awkwardly laid-out country property into a modern, contemporary home. The works included a full internal refurbishment alongside front, rear, and side extensions, as well as a roof extension incorporating a dormer. The finished property now presents as a clean, modern, rendered home with a significantly improved layout and far more usable living space.

The scope of works covered a full internal refurbishment, structural alterations, and extensive extension work to the front, rear, and side of the property. The rear extension created a large open-plan kitchen, dining, and seating area designed for modern family living. A roof extension with a dormer added further space and enhanced the overall proportions of the house, while external rendering unified the design into a cohesive contemporary finish.

One of the main challenges was reworking an inefficient and irregular existing layout to suit the demands of modern living. Multiple extensions needed to be carefully integrated into a single, cohesive design, ensuring the new structure felt intentional rather than pieced together. Creating a generous open-plan rear living space also required careful structural planning to maintain integrity while maximising light and flow.
